How we research and update our guides

Sources

We start with official sources, such as the Federal Tax Authority, the Dubai Land Department, MOHRE, ICP, DEWA, and the UAE government portal. Where an official page is not available to us, we use law-firm and news explainers, and we say so.

When sources disagree

Many figures differ between sources. When they do, we show the range or both versions and we name what to check, instead of picking one number and presenting it as fact.

Examples and numbers

Worked examples are calculated by code, not typed by hand. Assumptions are labelled as assumptions.

Calculators

Each calculator shows its formula and sources. Rates and thresholds can be updated by the site team without changing the code. Some calculators use planning averages, and they say so on the page.

Updates and corrections

We review pages when a rule, rate, or fee changes, and each page shows its last update date. If you find an error, tell us and we will check it against the official source.

Images

Illustrations on the site are generated graphics, not photographs.
